Max Bill Poster variation 12
This is a poster of Max Bill's "Fifteen Variations on a Single Theme." It is one of 15 variations of concrete art developed from a single original drawing based on the keywords "sequence," "development," and "idea." The variations are developed through a systematic mathematical interpretation, excluding subjective elements. "Variation 1" connects the spiral of the original drawing with dots, using only straight lines to form polygonal surfaces. The overlapping polygons are colored in six colors: yellow, red, green, blue, orange, and purple. "Variation 12" connects the dots with curves and develops them into circles. The rule is to fill in black where the surfaces overlap, making it appear as if large and small rings are intertwined in three dimensions.
