It was the father of the current owner, Lars Werner, who began producing the "Shoemaker Chair" in the early 1970s. The history of this three-legged stool dates back to the 15th century, and while its shape changed only slightly over the centuries, it was used as a cow-milking stool with a flat seat. Eventually, shoemakers, seeking to improve comfort, carved the seat to fit the shape of their bottoms, and this inspired the current form. The seat is shaped like a bottom, making it comfortable to sit on for long periods, and its three-legged design ensures stability.Source: https://www.truss.jp/
