The Paimio model was released in 2013 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Stool 60. In 2017, it joined the lineup as a standard color. Paimio here refers to the sanatorium (tuberculosis treatment facility) in Paimio, Finland, designed by Aalto in 1928. Aalto incorporated bright colors into parts of the architecture to help cheer up the patients. These pop and distinctive colors are adopted for the seat.Source: https://www.connect-d.com/
