Hexagon Card Square Blue
Livingly, a Danish papercraft brand founded in 2008 by husband and wife Kent Snedin and Louise Helmersen, has collaborated with the BAUHAUS MUSEUM DESSAU to create message cards that encapsulate the history of modern design. Bauhaus was an art school established in Weimar, Germany, in 1919 after World War I by Walter Gropius, one of the four great masters of modern architecture, and the term is also used to refer to its style. In that tumultuous era, as design values shifted from form to function during the modernist movement, Bauhaus exerted an overwhelming influence that continues to impact design immeasurably to this day. The way three-dimensional forms emerge from flat paper with minimal cutting is reminiscent of architectural model studies. Composed of geometric shapes formed by horizontal, vertical, and right angles, and made with the three primary colors, these cards also evoke De Stijl, the Dutch art movement that profoundly influenced Bauhaus. These cards are highly recommended as gifts for design enthusiasts and architecture lovers.
