GRAVITY TRAY POMPIDOU
This is a tray for surfaces that obey different physical laws. It elevates the mathematical principles of warped space into a practical object. A polished steel grid, deformed by an invisible mass at its center, much like a planet warps the space around it. From above, it shines like a mirror; from the side, it radiates sculptural beauty. Each interlocking section is movable, allowing you to freely adjust the angle of distortion. Its form comes alive the moment you hold it. It is useful anywhere small objects gather: keys or rings by the door, a watch on the nightstand, chocolates on the table. Everything placed within it will rest inside its curve, at the center of its own small gravitational field. Available in four color variations. Two of these were developed at the request of Parisian museum shops. The red and blue editions for the Centre Pompidou evoke the color-coded ducts and shafts seen on its famous exterior, while the green edition for the Grand Palais adopts the reseda green of the iron framework under its glass roof. The iconic colors of these buildings now adorn this tray.
