This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Finnish artist Riitta Ek, who lives on Lauttasaari, a small island on the outskirts of Helsinki. Having majored in textile design at Aalto University, her work is characterized by surfaces and patterns. During her studies, she immersed herself in the creative process, developing a unique style that merges sketching and digital processing. When sketching, Riitta uses black ink and black acrylic paint to create shapes. She intentionally keeps all elements black for ease of scanning, adding, "Using black allows me to focus on form and rhythm."
