This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Finnish artist Riitta Ek, who lives on Lauttasaari, a small island outside Helsinki. Her work, characterized by its surfaces and patterns, stems from her studies in textile design at Aalto University. During her student years, she immersed herself in the creative process, developing a unique style that blends sketching with digital manipulation. When sketching, Riitta uses black ink and black acrylic paint to define shapes. She deliberately keeps all elements black for ease of scanning, adding, "Using black allows me to focus on the form and rhythm."
