This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Finnish artist Riitta Ek, who lives on Lauttasaari, a small island outside Helsinki. Her works are characterized by surfaces and patterns, having majored in textile design at Aalto University. During her studies, she immersed herself in the creative process, developing a unique style that combines sketching and digital processing. When sketching, Riitta uses black ink and black acrylic paint to create shapes. She intentionally keeps all elements black because it's easier to scan, but she adds, "Using black allows me to focus on the shapes and rhythm."
