This is a fine art giclée print created exclusively for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist, Moli Kiel. She works in the borderlands between illustration and graphic design. Her creative process is playful and results in light expressions and colors. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historic buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood grain imitation, and gilding. That knowledge remains at the heart of Kiel's work. While her colors are bright and light, the mosaic motifs have a touch of inspiration from the marble-patterned floors of historic architecture.
