This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist, Moli Kiel. She works at the intersection of illustration and graphic design. Her artistic process is playful and results in light expressions and colors. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historic buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, and gilding. This knowledge remains at the heart of Kiel's work today. While her colors are bright and light, the mosaic motifs have a character that seems to be inspired by the marble patterned floors of historical buildings.
