This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Molly Kiel. She works in the intersection between illustration and graphic design. Her working process is playful, and the result is characterized by a light expression and colorfulness. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel was also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historical buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, and gold leafing. This knowledge is still at the core of Kiel’s practice. Her color palette is bright and light, but the mosaic motif of the work has the air of being inspired by the marble patterned floors of historical architecture.
