This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Moli Kiel. She works in the intersection of illustration and graphic design. Her creative process is playful, resulting in light expressions and colors. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel also trained as a decorative artist and painter, working on the restoration of historic buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood-graining, and gilding. This knowledge remains at the core of Kiel's work today. Her colors are bright and light, but the mosaic motifs have a feel as if they are inspired by the marble patterned floors of historic architecture.
