A fine art giclée print created exclusively for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Mette Kier. She works in the boundary between illustration and graphic design. Her creative process is playful, resulting in light expressions and colors. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kier also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historical buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, and gilding. That knowledge remains at the core of Kier's work today. Although her colors are bright and light, the mosaic motifs have a sense of being inspired by the marble patterned floors of historical buildings.
