This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Mette Kjær. She works at the intersection of illustration and graphic design. Her working process is playful, resulting in light expressions and a vibrant use of color. During her studies at the Royal College of Art in London, Kjær also trained as a decorator and painter, working with the restoration of historical buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, and gilding. This knowledge remains at the core of Kjær's current work. While her colors are bright and light, the mosaic motifs have a feel that seems to draw inspiration from the marble patterned floors of historical architecture.
