This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Molly Kiel. She works in the borderland between illustration and graphic design. Her working process is playful, and the results are characterized by a light expression and use of color. During her studies at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel was also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historical buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, and gilding. This knowledge is still at the heart of Kiel's work. Her colors are bright and light, but the mosaic motifs have a feel as if they are inspired by the marble patterned floors of historical buildings.
