This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Copenhagen-based artist Moli Kiel. She works in the intersection of illustration and graphic design. Her working process is playful, resulting in light expressions and colors. While studying at the Royal College of Art in London, Kiel was also trained as a decorator and painter, working on the restoration of historic buildings. This work required the use of traditional techniques such as marbling, graining, and gilding. That knowledge is still at the core of Kiel's work. While her colors are bright and light, the mosaic motifs have the feel of being inspired by the marble patterned floors of historic buildings.
