She draws inspiration from peaceful strolls through Hangang Park in Seoul, Korea's vibrant capital. This waterside oasis offers a perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, with numerous bookstores, cafes, and galleries. After six years as an illustrator, Makitoy transitioned to freelance work, tackling individual projects from the comfort of her home alongside her two beloved cats. Since 2019, she has passionately maintained a personal project of daily drawing, a habit that not only hones her skills but also builds her artistic archive. Makitoy's vivid art posters feature bold botanical illustrations, drawn on paper with pens and markers. "Plants give me a new perspective," she explains.
