She draws inspiration from tranquil strolls through Hangang Park in Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea. This waterside oasis offers a harmonious blend of serenity and convenience, with numerous bookstores, cafes, and galleries lining its paths. After six years as an illustrator, Makitoi transitioned to freelancing, working on individual projects from the comfort of her home, alongside her two beloved cats. Since 2019, she has diligently pursued a personal project of daily drawing, a practice that not only sharpens her skills but also builds an artistic archive. Makitoi's vibrant art posters feature bold botanical illustrations, drawn on paper with pens and markers. "Plants give me a new perspective," she explains.
