A fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Japanese artist Kyoko Takeshita. For over 15 years, she lived a life on the go. But everything changed when she was diagnosed with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), a chronic dysfunction of the vestibular system and the brain. The bustling cities that once fueled her creativity suddenly became unbearable, leading her back to the mountains and forests of her hometown in the south. Leaving behind her hectic lifestyle, she turned to nature, where its unhurried rhythm became a new source of inspiration. This return to nature, coupled with her health challenges, has profoundly shaped her art. Her works explore themes of freedom, perseverance, and gratitude for everyday life. Wood, both as a material and as a muse, lies at the heart of her creative practice.
