This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Japanese artist Kyoko Takeshita. For over 15 years, she lived a life constantly on the move. However, everything changed when she was diagnosed with "Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness," a chronic dysfunction of the vestibular system and brain. The bustling cities that once fueled her creativity suddenly became unbearable, leading her back to the mountains and forests of her hometown in the south. Leaving behind her hectic lifestyle, she turned her attention to nature. Its gentle rhythm became a new source of inspiration. This return to nature, combined with her health challenges, has deeply shaped her art. Her work explores themes such as freedom, perseverance, and gratitude for everyday life. Wood is central to her creative practice, both as a material and as a muse.
