This is a fine art giclée print specially created for The Poster Club by Japanese artist Kyoko Takeshita. For over 15 years, she led a life constantly on the move. However, everything changed when she was diagnosed with "Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness" (PPPD), a chronic dysfunction of the vestibular system and the brain. The bustling city that once fueled her creativity suddenly became unbearable, leading her back to the mountains and forests of her hometown in the south. Leaving behind her hectic lifestyle, she turned to nature, where its slow rhythm became a new source of inspiration. This return to nature, combined with her health challenges, has profoundly shaped her art. Her work explores themes of freedom, perseverance, and gratitude for everyday life. Wood, both as a material and a muse, is central to her creative practice.
