A fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Japanese artist Kyoko Takeshita. For over 15 years, she lived a life constantly on the move. However, everything changed when she was diagnosed with PPPD (Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness), a chronic vestibular and brain dysfunction. The bustling cities that once fueled her creativity suddenly became unbearable, leading her back to the mountains and forests of her hometown in a southern city. Leaving behind her hectic lifestyle, she turned her attention to nature, where its unhurried rhythms became a new source of inspiration. This return to nature, coupled with her health challenges, has profoundly shaped her art. Her work explores themes of freedom, perseverance, and gratitude for everyday life. Wood, both as a material and a muse, is central to her creative practice.
