This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by Moroccan-based artist Nassim Azarzar. His work embodies the fluidity of identity and culture, shaped by his upbringing in Épinay-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris where the rich and complex tapestry of diasporic influences played a significant role. Nassim's early environment was characterized by contrasting elements, celebrating diversity while grappling with the tensions accompanying cultural assimilation. In 2013, seeking a deeper connection to his roots, he moved to Morocco, his family's ancestral homeland. This turning point, though challenging, laid the foundation for his multidisciplinary creative practice, which weaves together painting, sculpture, experimental film, poetry, and sound. From his atelier in Rabat, overlooking the Atlantic, Nassim draws on these diverse influences to explore themes of alienation, displacement, and belonging.
