This fine art giclée print was specially created for The Poster Club by French illustrator Samuel Eckert. He uses simple drawings and short phrases to elevate everyday observations into small visual narratives. With the soft lines unique to hand-drawn art and a deliberately simplified style, he creates works that strike a balance between humor and sincerity, inviting viewers to smile or ponder for a moment. His drawings give an intuitive and straightforward impression, as if his ideas are visualized directly without being refined away. Based in Pantin, a suburb of Paris, Samuel works from his studio along the Ourcq Canal. After studying visual communication, he worked briefly in advertising before going freelance in 2014, and has since been involved in a wide range of activities including illustration, murals, tattoos, publishing, and self-initiated projects.
