This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by French artist Juneau Albertyn, who grew up in the quiet countryside of northern France. From an early age, she harbored a strong desire to create. What began as a way to pass long weekends eventually evolved into a disciplined practice of visual expression, shaped by her training in graphic design and a steadfast sensibility for composition, color, and balance. She works exclusively with collage, cutting and layering hand-painted paper, assembling each image piece by piece. Her work begins with a rough sketch, which is then refined digitally and brought to life on painted paper. Instead of using pre-made colored paper, she paints the paper herself, allowing for precise control over color while preserving brushstrokes as part of the composition. Each piece is divided into layers by color, meticulously cut by hand with a knife or scissors. The final collage is assembled over time, and the cut edges, material textures, and traces of the creative process are intentionally left as integral elements of the finished work.
