This is a fine art giclée print created exclusively for The Poster Club by French artist Juneau Albertine, who grew up in the quiet countryside of northern France. She has had a desire to create things since childhood. What began as a means to pass long weekends eventually evolved into a disciplined practice of visual expression, shaped by her training in graphic design and a strong sensibility for composition, color, and balance. She works exclusively with collage, cutting and layering hand-painted paper, assembling each image piece by piece. Her work begins with a rough sketch, which is then digitally refined and brought to life on painted paper. Instead of using pre-made colored paper, she paints the paper herself, allowing for precise control over the colors while preserving brushstrokes as part of the composition. Each piece is separated into layers by color, and meticulously cut by hand with knives and scissors. The final collage is assembled over time, and the cut edges, texture of the materials, and traces of the creative process are intentionally left as integral elements of the finished work.
