This fine art giclée print was created exclusively for The Poster Club by artist Rut Pedreño Criado, who grew up in Valladolid, Spain. Now based in a small rural town nearby, her creative activities unfold at a more relaxed and mindful pace. Working closely with her immediate environment, she draws inspiration from the rhythms of daily life, nature, and observation to construct images that are intimate yet quietly expansive. In parallel with her work as a cartoonist and illustrator, Rut continues her unique painting practice rooted in curiosity, intuition, and long-term exploration. Her recent works feature plants and animals as subjects, but they are not depicted as isolated objects; rather, they are presented as part of a larger, interconnected whole. Rut describes her drawings as "small ecosystems" where plants and animals coexist, grow, and react to each other through color and form. This approach to creation reflects her rural surroundings, as well as her desire for images to evolve organically rather than adhere to a fixed plan.
