This fine art giclée print was specially created for The Poster Club by artist Ruth Pedroño Criado, who grew up in Valladolid, Spain. Now based in a small neighboring rural town, her creative activities unfold at a more relaxed and deliberate pace. By closely engaging with her immediate surroundings, she draws inspiration from the rhythms of daily life, nature, and observation to construct intimate yet quietly expansive images. Alongside her work as a cartoonist and illustrator, Ruth continues her unique painting practice, rooted in curiosity, intuition, and long-term exploration. Recent works feature plants and animals as subjects, but they are depicted not as isolated objects, but as part of a larger, interconnected whole. Ruth describes her drawings as "small ecosystems" where plants and animals coexist, grow, and react to each other through color and form. This creative approach reflects her rural environment and also her desire to allow images to evolve organically rather than following a fixed plan.
