Working closely with her immediate environment, she draws inspiration from the rhythms of everyday life, nature, and observation to construct images that are intimate yet quietly expansive. Alongside her work as a cartoonist and illustrator, Rut continues to develop her unique painting practice, rooted in curiosity, intuition, and long-term exploration. Her recent works feature plants and animals as subjects, but not as isolated objects; rather, they are depicted as part of a larger, interconnected whole. Rut describes her drawings as "small ecosystems" where plants and animals coexist, grow, and react to each other through color and form. This approach reflects her rural environment and also her desire for images to evolve organically, rather than adhering to a fixed plan.
