This is a fine art giclée print specially produced for The Poster Club by Antonia Figueiredo, an artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, she has long felt that the distance from her homeland was essential to her growth. When she left Brazil seven years ago, she believed that moving forward meant not looking back. Recently, however, a shift has begun in that relationship. While she still resists considering São Paulo as "home," she has become increasingly interested in understanding how the place she grew up continues to shape who she is today. She reflects on the distance from her birthplace and its impact on her identity. This perspective continues to shape her approach to her work.
