A fine art giclée print created exclusively for The Poster Club by Estonian-based artist Antonia Figueiredo. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Antonia felt for a long time that distance from her home country was essential for her growth. When she left Brazil seven years ago, she believed that moving forward meant not looking back. Recently, however, that relationship has begun to change. While still resistant to considering São Paulo as "home," she has become increasingly interested in understanding how the place where she grew up continues to shape who she is today. She reflects on the distance from her origins and the impact it has had on her identity. This perspective continues to shape her approach to her work.
