This is a fine art giclée print created especially for The Poster Club by Antonia Figueiredo, an artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, she long felt that the distance from her hometown was essential to her growth. When she left Brazil seven years ago, she believed that moving forward meant not looking back. Recently, however, that relationship has begun to change. While she still resists defining São Paulo as "home," she is increasingly interested in understanding how the place she grew up continues to shape who she is today. She reflects on the distance from her place of origin and the impact it has had on her identity. This perspective continues to shape her approach to creation.
