Designed by Michele De Lucchi with Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide in 1987, the "Tolomeo" quickly became a bestseller, establishing a collaboration that continues to this day. Inspired by traditional balanced-arm lamps, the challenge was to combine an iconic and "homely" form with innovative technologies and materials, adapting it to various uses and environments. Today, it is known as a symbol of modern design, commonly seen in homes, offices, hotels, architects' desks, and on photography and film sets.
