This is the DUCK, designed by Hans Bølling in 1959, and now reissued by ARCHITECTMADE. This DUCK, with its very endearing expression and posture, was designed by Hans Bølling in 1959 along with the DUCKLING. In 1959, a heartwarming newspaper article was published in Denmark about a police officer who stopped traffic to allow a family of ducks to cross the road. Hans Bølling designed the DUCK and DUCKLING after seeing a photo from that newspaper. It's easy to see why the design is so gentle, warm, and endearing. Furthermore, these officially reissued DUCK and DUCKLING figures are handcrafted from solid teak wood in a small workshop in Denmark, just as they were at the time of their original creation. While original pieces from that era are now extremely difficult to obtain, these reissued items have the same finish as the originals. Displaying the DUCKLING and DUCK as a set will create an even more charming atmosphere.
