The Dog, released in 1934, the oldest of Kay Bojesen's wooden toys, has been officially reissued by "KAY BOJESEN DENMARK," established in 2011. Originally designed as a toy for Danish children, it is now globally recognized as a decorative object for adults. In the vintage market, it commanded very high prices as a rare collector's item, making it an unattainable luxury for most. With its reissue, the Dog is now readily available new. This Dog is modeled after a dachshund, with joints made from wooden axes in its neck and tail, allowing the neck to move left and right, and the tail back and forth. It also comes in a beautiful gift box, making it perfect for gifts, especially baby showers. Even half a century after its design, its warm, Scandinavian-inspired design still feels fresh.
