Kay Bojesen is a Danish designer who created many wooden toys, including monkeys. It is said that the design was inspired by the birds that gathered in the garden of his home in northern Copenhagen, where he lived. This legendary bird was discovered in an old album cherished by Kay Bojesen's family. It was a design that had never been produced, and more than half a century later, it was finally commercialized.
