ZEBRA
The "Zebra," one of the early works in Kay Bojesen's animal series, has been reissued. Danish designer Kay Bojesen created many wooden toys, including the Monkey. "Zebra," one of his early works, released in 1935, is rarely seen in the vintage market, so many fans must have been eagerly awaiting its reissue. Its distinctive mane, reminiscent of a Mohawk haircut worn by the Mohawk tribe in North America, shows the influence of the North American landscape that Bojesen visited and was fascinated by in 1921. It features beautiful black and white stripes and an endearing expression. This monochrome object pairs perfectly with vintage furniture such as teak.
