This is the "SILHOUETTE COFFEE TABLE" from ACME FURNITURE's "Heritage series." It is a reinterpretation of the coffee table from the "SILHOUETTE series" produced in the 1960s by "LANE FURNITURE," a long-established furniture manufacturer that originated in Virginia, USA. It was crafted with the aim of achieving a quality that surpasses the original while remaining faithful to it. The SILHOUETTE series is said to have been produced when LANE invited external designer Adrian Pearsall. The gracefully curved wooden edges, a hallmark of handcrafted furniture, and the leg design visible through the glass, are simple yet incorporate abundant attention to detail. Based on the design of the "Silhouette Center Table" from 2024, this coffee table is designed with an oval shape that is easy to incorporate into Japanese homes to be placed in front of a sofa. While retaining the original's sculptural beauty and presence, it has been reconfigured into a form that considers flow lines and visual spaciousness, and its soft oval shape creates a natural flow in the space, bringing a comfortable openness to the living room. The "Heritage series" is ACME Furniture's series that, based on its 40-year history of purchasing vintage furniture, proposes products that are still timeless and worth preserving for future generations, reinterpreting them with respect and faithfulness to the original, while incorporating "modern technology" and "modern lifestyles."
