This innovative chair, based on a design by Junzo Sakakura, was presented at the 1960 Milan Triennale, utilizing a unique Japanese racket structure (kumaire processing). At the Milan Triennale, the venue's composition was handled by Junzo Sakakura Architect and Associates, with Daisaku Choh, then a staff member of the firm, in charge of furniture design. This chair uses molded plywood for its frame, and the organic curve of the chair's backrest is inspired by the curve created when a persimmon fruit is split vertically down the middle. In 2006, Daisaku Choh redesigned it, giving birth to a new chair.Source: https://metrocs.jp/
