Pierre Paulin F031 Desk Oak
This is the "F031 (Petit Desk)", a classic French modern desk designed by Pierre Paulin in the 1950s. The original desk was designed by Pierre Paulin for the French company Thonet, and was manufactured for only about 10 years from 1956. Unlike Paulin's more commonly known organic designs from the 1960s onwards, this desk features a simple form that prioritizes functionality. It was called the "Petit Desk" because of its compact size compared to the average European desk size at the time. However, this comparison is relative to European sizes; it is an appropriate size for Japanese homes. This reproduction of Paulin's F031 desk faithfully recreates every detail. With a depth of approximately 60 cm, it can comfortably accommodate a desktop PC, and its drawers are large enough to hold A3-sized documents. Production is carried out in Asahikawa, a furniture-making region, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and quality from a furniture factory. The finish highlights the beautiful grain of the natural wood, and its light yet serene appearance harmonizes with various interiors, creating a high-quality space. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from home use to office desks. *The standard model has drawers on the right side when facing the desk, but the position of the drawers can be changed to the left side.Source:https://metrocs.jp/
