Pierre Paulin F031 Desk Teak
This is the "F031 (Petit Desk)", a classic French Modern desk designed by Pierre Paulin in the 1950s. The original desk was designed by Pierre Paulin for Thonet France and was manufactured for only about a decade from 1956. Unlike the organic designs generally associated with Paulin from the 1960s onwards, this desk features a simple, functional form. It was called the "Petit Desk" because it was compact compared to the average desk size in Europe at the time. However, this is only in comparison to European sizes; it is a suitable size for Japanese homes. This F031, designed by Paulin, has been faithfully reproduced and reissued down to the smallest detail. With a depth of approximately 60 cm, it is large enough to comfortably accommodate a desktop PC, and the drawers offer storage capacity for A3-sized documents. It is produced with the highest level of craftsmanship and quality in Asahikawa, a renowned furniture-producing region. The finish highlights the beautiful grain of natural wood, and its light yet elegant appearance harmonizes with various interiors, creating a sophisticated space. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from home use to office desks. *The standard model has drawers on the right side when facing it, but the position of the drawers can be changed to the left side.Source: https://metrocs.jp/
