This stool, designed by Riki Watanabe, combines wood and iron to create a simple yet beautiful form using contrasting materials. It was originally designed by Riki Watanabe in 1954 as a chair for a house designed by architect Kiyoshi Seike. The structure, reminiscent of Watanabe's masterpiece, the Torii Stool, features a 20mm thick solid wood seat and steel rod legs, creating a linear and refined silhouette. Subtle considerations are evident, such as the angled seat designed for comfort and the handle in the center of the seat for easy portability. This masterpiece stool was re-released in 2005, half a century after its initial creation.Source: https://metrocs.jp/
