This stool was designed by Riki Watanabe in 1954. It was conceived as a stool to be placed at the entrance when he was in charge of furniture design for "Mathematician's House," a small house designed by architect Kiyoshi Seike. Half a century later, in 2005, it was first commercialized by Metorox.
