The "Form Group" seating system, designed in 1960 by British designer Robin Day, has been reissued and reproduced under the supervision of the Robin & Lucienne Day Foundation. This is a masterpiece sofa by Robin Day, who was active during the British Mid-Century period. It is designed to offer a variety of configurations by flexibly combining a steel frame with cushion forms and tables, allowing you to choose specifications that suit your lifestyle. It is one of Robin Day's representative works, having won the Design Centre Award in 1961. Replacing traditional sofa manufacturing methods that used conventional wood and springs, it adopted a structure where rubber webbing tape supports the seat cushions. The elevation of webbing tape, originally used for the internal structure of sofas, to a visible design element was considered highly innovative at the time of its announcement.
