This is the linoleum top model of the "Eiermann Table 2", a redesign of the timeless masterpiece table designed by Egon Eiermann for his own studio in 1953. The minimalist table that Eiermann designed for his own studio has been redesigned. Compared to the original model, the inner width of the frame has been widened by 250mm. The crossbars, which were diagonally positioned, are now fixed vertically from the floor, making it ideal for use as a dining table, whether side-by-side or face-to-face. The concept of minimalist design, which involves simply placing a tabletop on a steel frame devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, remains the same, but it can now be used for an even wider range of purposes. In 1995, Richard Lampert acquired the manufacturing rights to this table and redesigned it to be more user-friendly. This table, with Eiermann's attention to detail evident throughout, is one of those timeless masterpieces that no other product can rival. Characteristics of a Linoleum Top Linoleum is a coating made from natural materials, including plants. While there are disadvantages such as water stains forming if a glass with water droplets is left on it, and it is more susceptible to scratches compared to melamine tops, it is a material that allows you to enjoy "aging" as scratches and other marks accumulate over time, adding to its character. Items with noticeable scratches or stains are strictly judged during inspection in Japan. Please note that minor scratches are not considered defective.Source:https://metrocs.jp/
