At the heart of Aliya Abs' naive paintings is emotion, and her work develops organically, often undergoing multiple revisions before completion. Aliya Abs was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, but has been based in Munich, Germany, since 2010. Her artistic talent was evident from an early age, influenced by growing up in an artistic family. After graduating from the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Aliya explored a wide range of artistic styles and techniques throughout her career. She now primarily focuses on realistic drawings that incorporate simplified, almost naive expressions. Her still life paintings, which depict not only what is seen but also what is felt, feature recurring motifs such as table settings, figures, and portraits, all imbued with a deep exploration of emotion.
