At the heart of Aliya Abs' naive paintings is emotion, and her work develops organically, often undergoing multiple revisions before reaching completion. Aliya Abs is from Kharkiv, Ukraine, but has been based in Munich, Germany, since 2010. Her artistic talent was evident from an early age, influenced by growing up in an artistic family. After graduating from the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Aliya explored a wide range of artistic styles and techniques throughout her career, but now primarily focuses on realistic drawings with simplified, almost naive expressions. In her still lifes, which depict not only what is seen but also what is felt, recurring motifs such as table settings, figures, and portraits can be found, all imbued with a deep exploration of emotion.
