Mandy Maria is a prolific artist who manages to maintain a soft and delicate atmosphere in her works, contrasting with the raw scenes and landscapes she depicts. She has lived in Glasgow for the past two decades; however, her upbringing in the north-east of Scotland remains deeply ingrained in her and is a constant source of inspiration for her artistic practice. For several years, she worked in the design industry, but in her own words, returning to painting allowed her to express her soul for the first time. Mandy Maria's background in the design industry has influenced her work for many years, but recently she feels drawn to more analogue production processes.
