Mandy Maria has lived in Glasgow for the past 20 years, but her upbringing in the northeast of Scotland remains deeply rooted in her and is a constant source of inspiration for her artistic practice. For several years, she worked in the design industry, but in her own words, returning to painting allowed her to express her soul for the first time. Her background in the design industry influenced her work for many years, but recently she has felt drawn to a more analogue creative process.
