While Mandy Maria is a prolific creator, she consistently maintains a soft atmosphere in her work, a contrast to the rugged scenes and landscapes she depicts. Mandy Maria has lived in Glasgow for the past 20 years. However, her upbringing in the northeast of Scotland remains deeply rooted within her and is a constant source of inspiration for her artistic practice. For several years she worked in the design industry, but in her own words, returning to painting allowed her to express her soul for the first time. Mandy Maria's background in the design industry influenced her work for many years, but recently she feels more drawn to an analog creative process.
