Growing up in a small town near the border of New York State and Canada, she formed a profound bond with the natural world, an influence that still lives within her today. As a child, she explored the world, adventuring barefoot through forests and along streams, and venturing out bundled up in winter storms, instilling in her a deep appreciation for nature's beauty and resilience. This theme permeates much of her photography. Today, she travels by car through California, the West Coast, and the American Southwest, seeking new landscapes and perspectives. Her photographs are an intimate exploration of her immediate surroundings.
